Karen (Anita's mom), Anita, and Alan went to Japan in July of 2005 to visit Anita's sister, April. April is in Koori Machi, Japan teaching english with the JET program.

• how - Plane from Louisville > Chicago > Tokyo (reverse order to return) and JR Train lines (including the Shinkansen) around Japan

• Karen has posted her thoughts on the 2005 trip to Japan
• Alan has kept track of the trip in photos and blog. The first half of the trip, Alan was able to update the blog every night but beacuse of limited access to computers for the second half of the trip, the updates had to be made from notes Alan kept, after the trip was over.
