Wolframalpha & Google Chrome Os

I recently came across wolframalpha which is really fantastic. It provides a much of data for a very wide variety of searches… basically the neat part is it’s conversion of English statements into data-based queries and graphs… It works across tons and tons of datatypes, including one of the most useful weather reports [...]

Potty Time

Poppy is now using her potty.
She’s been sitting on it for a while, but this weekend was the first time she actually used it successfully (twice so far).  We, of course, cheered and encouraged her… But I think it just clicked in her brain that was what she was supposed to do.  I don’t expect [...]

Running And Talking And Loud

Poppy has stopped walking and is pretty much either running to places, or stumble-running.  I’m sure that’s an exaggeration, but it is certainly what it seems like.
Likewise, she’s still babbling incoherently – but she’s doing so loudly.  Also – her speech patterns are much closer to English.  We don’t know what she’s saying, but she [...]

Poppy Update, 15.5 Months

Poppy At 15 Months

She’s certainly got an attitude and is already testing boundaries and figuring out what she can get away with.  More so right now, as her i-teeth are [...]

Poppy Update – Fast And Furious

Little poppy is fast and furious these days (at least when she doesn’t get what she wants, fast enough).  Turn your back and she’s gone…. or perhaps she’s up, as in climbing up furniture.  She’s eating a lot (sauteed mushrooms and onions and swash and garlic, last night… mmmm) and still has chubby legs and a [...]

Poppy Spinning

Poppy has long been termed as a “rough neck” and she certainly earns that title, loving to be thrown around and tickled and rough housing with her peers or adults alike.
She has just started spinning around in circles to get herself dizzy.
It’s one of the cutest things I’ve ever witnessed.
The downside is that she [...]

Mom and Sam drove to Louisville for a few days this past weekend+ (Friday – Tuesday).
We all had a wonderful visit and they played with poppy almost nonstop… as expected. We took full advantage of the free babysitting and went out a few nights and on the whole, were less than adequate hosts, but [...]
